Emirates Airlines exempts travelers from 6 countries from covid 19 test

Emirates Airlines announced that it will exempt travelers from 6 countries to Dubai from conducting a PCR test for COVID‑19 virus before traveling from their country, to be conducted after their arrival at Dubai International Airport.

The airline said on its website that passengers coming from the following Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman) can choose to take the test upon arrival at Dubai Airport so that they are not required to undergo a pre-test before departure.

Emirates added that the COVID‑19 PCR test after arriving in Dubai also applies to travelers from the United Kingdom and Germany.

Noting that all travelers from other countries to Dubai still have the option to take the test 96 hours before departure in their country of origin, in addition to taking a second test upon arrival at Dubai International Airport.

Emirates Airlines clarified that this procedure does not apply to passengers arriving by land through the Hatta border crossing or who are required to undergo a test for a period of 96 hours from the test date before departure.
