NEW ORLEANS (AP ) - Authorities say two New Orleans police have been beaten and kicked in as they try to disperse a battle on Bourbon Street.

The Times-Picayune reported that five people had been arrested after Saturday's incident, including four who had been charged on suspicion of having a police officer.

Patricia Cashier, 26, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, began to cause confusion, prompting officers to intervene. Police said the woman began to punch and kick the officers after they put handcuffs in her hands. Authorities said David Wilson, 26, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, was in charge of the officer at the time.

It is unclear whether Kashmir or Wilson has lawyers or not.
