LONDON - The body of the murdered Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was found at the home of the Saudi consul in Istanbul, sources told Sky News.

According to Sky News, the body of the 59-year-old Washington Post's reporter was allegedly "cut" and his face "distorted" with the remains in the garden of the Consul General's house.

Dojo Prensek, leader of the Rodina Party in Turkey, claimed in an interview that parts of the reporter's body had been discovered in a well in the garden of the Consul General's residence, according to Haperler.

The development comes shortly after Turkish President Erdogan accused Saudi Arabia of conspiring to kill Jamal Khashoggi. He said the case could not be covered and asked Saudi Arabia to extradite the 18 suspects for trial in Turkey.

He said the killing had been planned in advance and called on Saudi Arabia to disclose details, including Khashoggi's body.

"Why has not the body of a person who was said to have been officially killed yet been found?"

Erdogan did not provide video or audio evidence as his government claimed possession of it. Turkish officials said earlier they had recordings confirming that Khashoggi was tortured and killed and his fingers were cut and cut off.

Gamal Khashoggi, a critic of Riyadh's human rights violations and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's policies, disappeared after he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2 because of papers for his marriage.
