Lauren Jauregui Drops Debut Solo Single 'Expectations'

Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jauregui released her debut single "Expectations." Along with the guitar-driven song comes a dramatic, black-and-white music video. Jauregui teamed up with Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles, Jessie Ware) for the slow-burning, guitar-heavy track. Hitting the deeper end of her range, she reflects on why she should "have no expectations" for her unfaithful partner.

"Expectations" track officially dropped Wednesday (October 24),and with it, a brand new era, complete with massive fan feedback.


In the black-and-white visual, two versions of Jauregui roam an empty house. One wears a white dress and is often surrounded by nature and sunlight while the black leather-clad "darker" Jauregui is seen in the shadows of the home. They actually confront one another, and the "darker" version does a sultry dance routine for the more "innocent" Jauregui during the song's guitar solo.

 Lauren Jauregui is slaying huge time in her video with an extremely attractive leather-based look.


"Everything looks very surreal, I am very grateful that I was able to indulge in this creative process and give the world part of my heart," Lauren said in a statement.

"I appreciate anyone who listens, whether you follow someone on my trip or join the ride - thank you for choosing to share my energy! I hope you love it."

For the first time Lauren "expectations" when she wandered with Halsey last summer. It plans to keep new music open by the end of the year until 2019.

Within an hour was trending worldwide and Lauren spent the better part of her evening responding to fans highlighting her single’s success.
