Trump on Twitter: I won the election

This morning, outgoing US President Donald Trump posted a tweet on his official Twitter account, in which he wrote, "I won the election."

Trump did not release further details.

Twitter attached Trump's tweet with a warning that read: "Official sources described these elections differently."

And Trump confirmed, on Saturday evening, that there is tremendous evidence of widespread fraud in the counting of votes in the presidential elections in a number of states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

Biden surpassed Trump by a comfortable margin, as he has garnered 290 votes so far in the electoral college, 20 more votes than the total required for the resolution, compared to 232 votes for Trump.
