Sylvester Zottola NYC mobster gunned down in McDonald's drive- 3 months after his son survived
NEW YORK CITY - One of the alleged gangsters in New York City was shot dead in a McDonald's car in the Bronx months after his son survived a clear injury, police said.
Sylvester Zotola, 71, and his colleague in the Bonanu family were found guilty of the crime in his car full of gunshots before 5 pm on Thursday, police said. Sources told the New York Post that his car was fortified when a gunman opened fire. He reportedly ordered only coffee when he was shot.

Zotola's death was announced at the scene. There were no arrests.
His 41-year-old son, Salvatore, survived an apparent assassination attempt when a gunman opened fire outside his house in Throgs Nick in July. In that case and in Thursday's killing, the smuggled car was a dark-colored car.
Father and son have often been involved in violence, which law enforcement officials believe is linked to ongoing mob disputes. Sources say the two men belong to the former head of the Bonano family, Vincent "Fini Georgios" Bassiano, who is serving a life sentence for a murder in 2007.
It's not the first violent quarrel for Sylvester Zotola. During an incident on 12 June, he was arrested for shooting at a man who had withdrawn his weapon outside his home, the New York Daily News reported. He was arrested for possessing weapons, endangering him recklessly and other charges. He also survived an attack by a conventional bomber who stretched out his home on Dec. 27, 2017, according to the New York Daily News.
The Zotola family is alleged to have been associated with the family of the Bonano family of Vincent (Fini Georgios) Paschiano, who was jailed for life in 2007 after being convicted of murder.
Sources told The New York Post that Zutola ordered a cup of coffee in the middle of his car and was surrounded by his car when the gunman opened fire.
Zotola had planned three times last year. His son Salvatore Zotola, 41, was wounded when a gunman opened fire outside his home in the Bronx on July 11.
The shooting was captured in July on a video surveillance, but Zutola younger did not cooperate with the authorities and no arrests were made, the sources said.
Investigators believe that the aim of the attack on Salvatore Zutola is to have a message to his father, who received his share of attempted assault.
