“Joker virus”.. a dangerous virus that hack into your phone through these 8 infected apps

Police have warned smartphone users of 8 popular apps, hacked by a dangerous virus, that can access the user's private information and take control of your phone.

According to “Mirror”, the harmful “Joker” virus spreads, within several applications, and it can control the phone through text messages, which exposes many to a real danger.

“Google” has deleted the applications affected by the “Joker virus” from its online store, and “Apple” has banned applications on its devices, but some people have applications on their devices, especially on Android systems, before they are deleted, which means that the danger threatens them unless they delete the applications .

The affected apps are:

• Free CamScanner
• Go Messages
• Super Message
• Great SMS
• Travel Wallpapers

The Joker virus first appeared in 2019, and is capable of wreaking havoc on the phones it infects, including installing hidden spyware, and deceiving users with communication programs that follow a monthly subscription.

According to researchers at Quick Heal Security Labs, a cybersecurity firm, the Joker virus can access text messages, contacts, and a lot of other personal information on phones.

According to the authorities in Belgium, "This malware was detected in 8 apps from the Google Play store, and although it has been deleted from the App Store, if you have already downloaded it previously, remove it as soon as possible."

The authorities advise downloading apps only from trusted sources such as the Google Play Store, and not clicking on strange links received through messages or any other social media platforms.
