Dillon Danis Conor McGregor's teammate Who was attacked by Khabib Nurmagomedov - Fast Facts
Hours after being involved in a land fight in Las Vegas, Dillon Danes was shooting a former UFC champion on Twitter.
Khubayb Normagomedov jumped out of the cage after defeating Connor McGregor 229 on a Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena and went straight after McGregor Cornerman Daniz, who was cheering on him. Rafael Dos Angus, the former Lightweight NFL champion, went to Twitter to head for Daniz on Sunday for being "nobody."
This guy Dillan Dennis he is nobody, he just suck Conor’s balls and hide behind him, that’s his job. He never going to make it, be on Conor’s corner is his career highlight.— Rafael dos Anjos (@RdosAnjosMMA) Ù§ أكتوبر ٢٠١٨
In response, Danis, McGregor’s teammate, a Bellator fighter and top Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor, challenged dos Anjos to a fight — apparently in the street.
Dillon Danis was born on August 22nd, 1993 in New Jersey – United States of America.
In 2016 Danis was invited to become a coach and main grappling training partner of Irish mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Conor McGregor ahead of the Notorious’ match against Nate Diaz, for UFC 202. Dillon became one of the bigger stars of that camp, particularly with the constant tribulations between both training camps on the build up to that contest.
At 15 years of age he decided to start training jiu jitsu, this was due to a street fight at his school where Dillon managed to pull off a choke. Although he didn’t know how to grapple, he felt it was the right approach to the fight game, joining Jaime Cruz‘ academy in New Jersey.
Khabib explained why he attacked Danis in the crowd, claiming McGregor's religious slurs were the reason for actions.
Nurmagomedov said: "First of all I want to say sorry to Nevada Athletic Commission and second to Vegas. I know this is not my best side. I'm a human being.
"But I don't understand how people can talk about how I jump on the cage. He talked about my religion, he talked about my country, he talked about my father.
"He came to Brooklyn and he broke bus, he almost killed a couple of people. What about this s***?"
