Jacksonville FL.(AP) - Six people were injured in a residential neighborhood of the Florida Stadium where Houston Tucson played in the NBA and defeated Jackson Jaguar on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Ron Lindhavay, director of investigations at the Jacksonville commandant's office, said several shots were thrown at around 12:35 pm. Others told the radio outlet that they saw people running out of coin laundry work when they fired shots.

A woman known as Yvonne told News4Jax: "We were there talking and all of a sudden it was like a dozen gunshots, we ran and went to cover up and then I saw the police and the people were crowded there."

An update on the condition of the wounded was not immediately available on Sunday and were not identified by name.

"Two of them were in very serious condition upon arrival at the hospital," Lindfay said. He added that five of the wounded were rushed by paramedics to get emergency care and a sixth from a private car.

He said the authorities had not been able to determine whether there was any link between the wounded immediately, noting that no one could be interviewed immediately, although the authorities hoped to do so later.

"It's hard to say whether they're all connected or not."

He spoke to Lindevi near the scene on Sunday afternoon until the game started, saying investigators had cordoned off the area, but fans who had cars parked in the area might expect to accompany their vehicles so they could leave the place unhindered after the game.

Jacksonville city councilman Reggie Jaffney, who represents the neighborhood where the shooting took place, told local media he was aware of the crime problems in the neighborhood and urged greater law enforcement there.

"When we talk to the police department, they will strengthen patrols," Gaffney said. "We have a crime case." "Every two weeks and every other month there, that's too much."
