Thousands in the United States interact with a petition collecting online signatures calling for the sale of Montana (north) for $1 trillion in order to relieve the country's debts.

According to Time magazine, the petition gathered up to Wednesday about 12,000 signatures in conjunction with the record of the country's debt record at $22 trillion dollars in February.

The petition, launched by the Change.org website, says that the United States has a very large debt burden, and Montana is a useless state where it is known only for the presence of a beaver animal.

The Great Falls Tribune reported that many of the signatories to the petition were residents of Montana and asked the paper why not sell Alaska? It's not related to the rest of the states and what will the Americans do about the other 21 trillion dollars?.

Legislators in Montana expressed interest in the campaign, launching humorous statements, especially in terms of comparing the situation in the country and Canada, considering that the latter is the candidate to buy the state.

"Joining Canada is in favor of those who want free health care in reference to the absence of a United States health care law.

Montana is located on the border with Canada, where many mountain peaks have earned the state its name and an area of 380 thousand square kilometers with a population of just over a million.
