Miami Dade Police - The Man Who Found Dead Inside a House in sw miami - His Daughter Involved in The Case

Miami-Dade County FL. - A 19-year-old man fatally shot his girlfriend's father in the back, and she helped him cover it up, police have said.

On Sept. 27, Miami police found the body of Evelio Federico Gainza in the master bedroom of his home in Miami, hidden under bedding and towels with several gunshot wounds. The main suspects in his death are the friend of his daughter who fled with her recently from the house and shot him and his daughter on charges of covering up, according to police.

On Tuesday, the authorities said the charges had already been filed against Evelyn Guinza for covering evidence and manipulating physical evidence. Her 19-year-old boyfriend, Dimar Torrelas, is accused of the same charges and murder. Investigators say they believe she helped clean her father's house after Torrelis shot him on Sept. 24.

Eveline was arrested at her mother's house. Torrioyas was already in custody for his earlier arrest. According to the arrest Demar Turruellas fired on Evelio Federico Gainza several times in the back

They found a semi-automatic pistol in the car that investigators say ballistics later proved was the murder weapon.

Police said days earlier, 17-year-old Eveline Gainza took her father's car to go to her mother's house to pick up her things. She and her boyfriend, 18-year-old Demar Turruellas returned to herathers house when Turruellas shot Gainza in the back several times. After killing him, police said the two used bleach and paper towels in an effort to clean the blood at the crime scene and conceale evidence.

Friends of Evelio said Gainza would go along with whatever her boyfriend said, but social media postings suggest at one point the father-daughter-duo were quite close. Evelio shared pictures of them on holiday in New York, and he would comment compliments on all his daughter's pictures


Pictures shared to Evelio's page show the pair holidaying in New York, and he had posted pictures of her in what appear to be scrubs, suggesting she had started a new job.

Similarly, Gainza shared pictures she had taken with her father, and Evelio commented on all of her posts to tell her she was beautiful

Turruellas faces several charges, including second-degree murder.

Police said both had confessed their involvement in the crime.

Gainza, a juvenile, will likely be tried as an adult.  She is being held in juvenile lockup.
