NEW YORK - Hip-hop star Cardi B will surrender to police on assault charges Monday, police say.
The details of the alleged assault were not immediately clear. The news was first reported by TMZ.
The rapper faces charges in connection to an assault involving two bartenders at a Queens strip club on August 29.
Sources tell TMZ, Cardi will be charged for allegedly ordering an attack on 2 bartenders at Angels Strip Club in Queens NY. The 2 bartender sisters -- Jade and Baddie Gi -- say Cardi had a long-standing beef with Jade because Cardi believed she had slept with Offset.
Sources close to the rapper allege the attack was “spontaneous” and only escalated after a drink was thrown.
Cardi will likely be charged with two misdemeanors for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. She will not be arrested on the charges as long as she turns herself into the authorities.
